A Healthy Substitute for Cereals

Most supermarket bought cereals are loaded with sugar, even the ones labeled as healthy. We all know that too much sugar leads to damage liver, obesity, diabetes, cancer, high cholesterol and heart disease.  
An easy and healthy breakfast or snack recipe is what mothers want to make for their family. This DIY cereal gives us an assurance that what we put in are good for our loved ones' health.
Ifyou prefer your dried fruit and nuts not toasted, you may add them as toppings right before eating the cereal.  It will still be a delight to munch on. Consider adding dried fruits and nuts other than what is stated in the recipe like apricot, pineapple, jujube, cranberries, walnuts and cashew.  When adding nuts, make sure there is no salt as this will alter the taste of the cereal. Serve with milk or yogurt top with fruits (berries and bananas). This is also a good on-the-go-snacks for busy individuals.
